Caitlin moved to the Bay Area in January 2023 to start a new job in San Jose. Less than three months later, Kevin visited his family in Saratoga, where he and Caitlin matched on Tinder. They met at a small restaurant near Caitlin’s apartment called Chalateco. The food was terrible, so they went to the Goodwill next door, then mini-golfing, followed by the Monterey Aquarium, and finally to the beach in Carmel, where Kevin would later propose. Their first date ended up lasting three days long and remains an unforgettable memory that all their friends, family, and loved ones would hear about for the next year. Following the first date, Kevin faked a Covid test to send to co-workers so he could stay in the bay area longer and go on more dates with Caitlin. Over the next week, they attended a Sharks game, went on a Costco date, spent a day in Santa Cruz, and laughed until they cried while watching Napoleon Dynamite.


Shortly after, Caitlin flew to LA to visit Kevin for a weekend. They spent that weekend exploring LA, going to Disneyland and they both internally were realizing that something serious was brewing. Despite the distance, they visited each other frequently. Occasional calls and FaceTimes became a nightly tradition. Their love grew, they made their relationship official, and have remained inseparable ever since. After a year of countless adventures and creating life long memories, Kevin proposed on the beach where they had watched the sun set on their first date. Caitlin found work in LA and moved back to Southern California where they currently live and continue to create life long memories together
